John MacManus (1875–1950) was a New Zealand politician, trade unionist and farmer.
==Political activity==
Born in Ireland in 1875, MacManus came to New Zealand in 1906. He was Secretary of the Dunedin General Labourers Union. During World War I he served in France with the New Zealand Engineers Tunnelling Company.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.nztunnellers.com/roll/main.php )〕 John MacManus was the Labour Party candidate for Dunedin South in , and . He was unsuccessful on all three occasions. He was a member of the Dunedin City Council between 1923 and 1926 and a farmer from 1926 to 1938.
MacManus died 1950.
